Investment Model Monitoring · 16 October 2026 · Reference edition 1

The publication uses official references for framework scope and statistical vocabulary, while defining its own transparent educational calculation contract. All report values are synthetic. Framework citations do not make the report compliant, independently validated or certified.

Read current guidance within its jurisdiction and purpose

Federal Reserve SR 26-2, issued April 17, 2026, supersedes SR 11-7 and SR 21-8. The letter describes banking supervision and says it is expected to be most relevant to Federal Reserve-regulated banking organisations above $30 billion in total assets. Its principles should not be presented as a universal legal rule for every investor, research publication or investment model.

NIST AI RMF 1.0 is voluntary and addresses artificial-intelligence systems. NIST states that it is under revision as of this edition. It is useful context where AI is actually involved, not a reason to relabel every statistical or rules-based investment model as AI. This site claims neither certification under that framework nor implementation of every framework function.

Distinguish a metric definition from its approval policy

NIST's statistical handbook provides the sample-standard-deviation convention used in the mean-shift denominator. CFA Institute describes active return and tracking error and supplies context for drawdown. The report's fixed-bin PSI equation, smoothing, completeness rules and numerical review levels are explicitly declared local choices. No cited institution is said to prescribe those exact thresholds.

W3C's Data Quality Vocabulary is cited as a Working Group Note about expressing quality information and provenance. It does not supply a complete definition of quality or a certification for this publication. A useful report identifies the population, period, denominator and evidence supporting each observation so that a reader can judge fitness for a particular purpose.

Original fixtures and a dated source record

The initial review date is October 16, 2026. Source retrieval outcomes and redirects are recorded separately from the claims each source supports. The downloadable examples contain invented model identifiers, dates, features and returns. They do not redistribute real customer data, market-data feeds, account statements or regulator-created case studies.

Source organisations retain rights in their publications and marks. This site links to them with original explanation rather than distributing their documents or implying endorsement. Later source changes should produce a dated correction and, when relevant, a changed example or test. No automated framework watch, recurring review service or promise of continuous source verification is created by this edition.

    Keep in the decision record

    • SR 26-2 has a banking-specific scope and replaced older guidance.
    • NIST AI RMF is voluntary, AI-specific and under revision.
    • The examples contain original synthetic inputs, not operational evidence.
